On January 5 the CBS published a study showing that in 2009 in Europe 25% of large companies (250 + employees) has been confronted with problems with IT security. Within the Netherlands, that percentage is even higher, namely 43%. In addition, especially the Scandinavian countries score higher than average. The reason is that these countries are characterized by relatively large and advanced ICT use, resulting in a higher risk of incidents.
The incidents in the Dutch large companies regard mainly failure of ICT services by interference (40%). Also striking is that in 6% confidential information was captured by a burglary on the ICT network or by pharming or phishing, while the EU average is 1%. The consequences of these failures have not been studied, but we can take an educated guess.
TriOpSys specializes primarily in advice, building and managing of mission critical applications and often addresses in her solutions exactly these issues that should prevent failure of and attacks on its systems. TriOpSys is also often asked to conduct audits, to see if there are 'leaks' or less protected areas in the system architecture/configuration.
If you need advice or control, please contact Rob Timman, managing director, at rob.timman @ triopsys.nl or 0346-58 17 30. We are glad to visit you for an informal first meeting.

TriOpSys has developed a new Mobile Data Terminal (MDT) for emergency services in collaboration with Abiom, Tedas and Opel: the Car & Dispatch Control System (CDCS). The reason for the development is the coming Dutch tender for new police cars. CDCS can also be used by fire departments, ambulances, military police and security companies. During the recent International Trade Fair for Police, Justice, Defence and Security (IVVP) CDCS was presented to the public in a fully equipped Opel Insignia.
CDCS has been developed in close consultation with people 'from the field': emergency workers, representatives of the safety regions and joint control rooms. Therefore the daily practice was the basis for the blueprint of CDCS. The public at IVVP was very positive about the ease of use and the potential of CDCS. For TriOpSys and its partners this confirmed that CDCS fully meets the needs of the end-users.
The Opel Insignia is available for a live demonstration at your organization, so you can see for yourself what makes the CDCS so user-friendly. Please contact Onno Stumphius, account manager, for an appointment through onno.stumphius@triopsys.nl or 0346-58 17 30.

As of May 1 TriOpSys officially assumed the administration of the new office automation (OA) - and internet environment of the "Gemeenschappelijke MeldKamer Midden en West-Brabant" (GMK-MWB, Joint Control Room for the region of Mid- and Central-Brabant). That is the common emergency room of the ambulance service, fire and police department of the safety region of Mid- and Central-Brabant. Executing 24/7 management is a continuation of the successful implementation of the new OA- and internet environment, also executed by TriOpSys.
GMK-MWB is the first emergency room of a safety region to outsource the installation, configuration and administration of its OA- and internet environment and infrastructure to an external organization. GMK-MWB wanted a basic configuration that suits the multi-disciplinary organization and is prepared for future expansion of other primary systems. The high security and availability requirements of this environment were also something to be taken into account with. TriOpSys' extensive experience with mission critical systems was the decisive factor for GMK-MWB to award the project to TriOpSys.
We are very proud of the confidence of GMK-MWB in our expertise and invest in a long, successful partnership. For more details on this project, please contact Onno Stumphius, account manager, at 06- 10 63 32 31 or at onno.stumphius@triopsys.nl.

Wednesday, March 17th the national project "Basisvoorziening Handhaving" (BVH, Basic Services Enforcement) officially completed by granting discharge by the President of the National Steering Committee BVH, Oscar Dros. The BVH is a single registration system for the Dutch Police, where incidents and the actions resulting from that are being recorded. Previously, the 26 brigades worked with their own system, but since December 2009, the last brigade switched to the BVH. This is an end to an ambitious project, which is successfully finalized within agreed timeframe and budget.
TriOpSys is proud of the significant contribution they have made to the BVH project. We have been responsible for the project management of the implementation team, at an earlier stage for the test management and throughout the project for the conducting of incident management. Finally, TriOpSys made a significant contribution in realizing the many dozens of mission critical interfaces between BVH and its own police systems and those of chain partners. For more information about our role within BVH, please contact Onno Stumphius, account manager, via 06 - 10 63 32 31 or via onno.stumphius @ triopsys.nl.
Today the new TriOpSys website went live: more colourful, lighter and more visual in nature than the first one. The website now emphasizes on the segments and the work TriOpSys performs within these segments. Moreover, the products of TriOpSys have a more prominent place. We thus hope to fully inform visitors and gladly invite you to take a look around.
As a continuation of the longstanding providing of services from TriOpSys to vtsPN, TriOpSys has won an allotment from the new framework contract with vtsPN, together with its partners VX Company and Jenrick (TriOpSys will act as subcontractor). On Tuesday, November 3, the contracts were signed festive with the management of vtsPN, in the presence of all parties that won a part of the framework contract. For TriOpSys is thus an intensive tender period successfully completed and the already more than 8 years existing cooperation with vtsPN can continue. For more information about this framework contract please contact our account manager for vtsPN, Onno Stumphius, at 06 - 10 63 32 31 or at onno.stumphius@triopsys.nl.

In August TriOpSys has been given the assignment by Niscayah, the Netherlands to manage all workplaces, servers, network of Niscayah and all applications. By signing the jointly prepared SLA, this assignment was confirmed by the directors of Niscayah and TriOpSys, respectively Marc Deelen (l) and Rob Timman (r), in the presence of Rolf Vermeulen (financial director Niscayah), Dave Zijlstra (ICT Manager Niscayah) and Clifford Zegers Veeckens (service manager TriOpSys). By October 1 TriOpSys performs this management task for Niscayah, for an initial period of two years.
Niscayah provides worldwide innovative, technical security solutions for specific market segments, such as banks, financial institutions, telecommunications and infrastructure companies, large companies with integrated security systems, etc. Parts of the security concepts of Niscayah are security management systems, video surveillance, fire detection, access control and burglary systems and systems integration. Niscayah has a nationwide network of service technicians and a private security operations center (SOC). From the SOC all systems are actively managed. Niscayah is not only active in the Netherlands, but also in 14 other European countries, the USA, Hong Kong and Australia. General director Niscayah, Marc Deelen: "The foundation for our decision is the longstanding relationship between TriOpSys and Niscayah, combined with the competitive offer from TriOpSys. TriOpSys has realised our central control room software and already manages our control room systems and networks for years. Based on this success and confidence, it was logical for us to ask TriOpSys to formulate an offer for the management of other systems. By regularly discussing the terms of the offer, a well-tailored quote and SLA was created and we have decided to give TriOpSys the task of system management. For Niscayah it was and is important that the management is done by experienced IT professionals, especially because our users have a lot to do with ICT. They are therefore very experienced users who desire an experienced service department and helpdesk staff who respond quickly and to the point. Exactly that is what TriOpSys will provide to Niscayah, from her department System Management & Servicedesk." For more information please contact Niscayah at info@Niscayah.nl, or TriOpSys at clifford.zegersveeckens @ TriOpSys.nl.![]()
On October 1, 2008 it was exactly 10 years ago that Rob Timman, At Hijwegen and Hans Schulz made a start with TriOpSys BV. Together with customers and staff that is abundantly celebrated on and around the office of TriOpSys. The theme of the party was The Future and guests could have a look in their own future, predicted by a palm reader or aura photographer. Speaker and futurist Marcel Bullinga gave his vision of the future world, where automation turned out to play a key role! Finally, a Future Raffle was held with great futuristic prizes, like a vacuum cleaner robot and robot toys. We look back on a very successful and enjoyable day and look forward to the next 10 years!
With pride we announce that our software iMOS® is mentioned in de Automatisering Gids of August 22 last, in the top 10 packages that are used in the Netherlands for field service automation. Basis for this article is a study by Heliview Research on the state of automation in service companies. TriOpSys is not approached for this study; the data are independent and from the market itself. The top 10 is very diverse in nature though, for instance the back office package Navision is also mentioned in the top 10, while iMOS® has an interface with Navision. TriOpSys has realized several interfaces with back offices, such as Navision (various implementations), Syntess, Baan, and (customer) self-built systems. Nevertheless, we welcome this statement and the article confirms our growing market share. For the complete article, see www.automatiseringgids.nl.
